Cervical Check

is a government funded service that provides FREE smear tests to women aged 25 to 60. At Shandon Street Medical Centre we have 2 registered smear takers. GPs can perform free smears on female patients who present invitations from Cervical Check.

Dr. Jacinta Barry qualified as a doctor at University College Cork. In 1995 she opened Shandon Medical centre located at 51 Lower Shandon Street , Cork city. Dr. Barry provides a wide range of Services including Free smear testing to women aged 25 to 60 and Travel Vaccinations.

Dr. Barry is available by appointment during normal Surgery hours.
